A COUGH

Like a voice, is a measure
Of the quality of the chassis.
When I let myself relax
On an express already gone local
And besides that delayed
By mechanical problems the cough
I hear to my left is the size
Of a child aged two to four
And the one to my right a man
Of average height and weight.
