1180

If you are like me you enjoy a good stone fruit salsa,
Recognize when a friend would be amusing on television,
And are open to the possibility of new developments
From people who have not changed in thirty years. If
You are not like me oh where to begin! but you may have
Doubts about the purpose of voting and the viability
Of democracy (I think even a proud cynic would concede
The parties who most seem to treat it as a fiction
Sparing the necessity of armed coup are the ones most
Vulnerable to electoral blowback or if that is too
Buzzword for you and electoral karma's too vague then
Remember the gilded age and how it ended and sharpen
Your bread), marinate every chop you cook, and
Know the rules of canasta, contract bridge, or mah jjong.
