1952

DOUBLE THE GUESSING DAY

On the off-chance you wake up
By driving over the drawbridge
Down onto a Chinese restaurant

Today is a waking state
Of semi-sweet now and then

The radio snaps together and
The mechanical boxer just needs
A minute for his rosary

There is nothing wrong with prayer
A little trick photography won't
Flip the pages of a mix-and-match

The basin has gathered
The feeling the tree released

The cold rages of trees as
The cows fart the earth to death
