TRY AGAIN

I shiver, flash with rage:
The bottle cap says "try again."

The crying wells up like a cave,
The pressure pushes on my eye

My arms extend outwards
And I can feel a sneer melt.

Laughter fires like a toy gun
Repeating in the other room;

I can understand it but
I can't understand it. I want

To do as the bottle cap says.
I catch my breath.
